Erie County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release status, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For each of those matters, contact the government office that created or maintains the record.
Erie County Record Routing
For an existing Erie County Jail booking record or booking photograph, begin with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office or Jail Division. Give the office the person’s full name and a date range, then ask for the specific existing record or photograph. A request for a city-created incident report belongs with the arresting agency, not the jail.

The Erie County JDS roster is the official current-custody view. It is not a historical archive or a guarantee that every arrest resulted in a jail booking. For a court case or later disposition, use the Erie County Clerk of Courts case search. For someone in state prison or DRC supervision, use the Ohio DRC Offender Search, which is separate from Erie County Jail custody.
- Send an existing county booking-record or jail-photo request to the Sheriff’s Office or Jail Division.
- Use the JDS roster for current county custody, and verify its court and release fields with the court record.
- Request a Sandusky-created report from Sandusky Police records.
- Request a Huron-created report from the city’s public-records office.
- Send a Vermilion-created report request to Vermilion Police records.
Ohio Public Records Act requests are governed by ORC §149.43. The county did not publish a separate booking-photo fee or a guaranteed turnaround, so ask the custodian for the current estimate and process. Arrest and booking information reflects an accusation, and court records supply the disposition.
